There isn't much vintage left in old Ladner. This building is one of the exceptions: a working garage since 1937, still doing the job it was built for, on Delta Street in the middle of the village.

Far more than oil and a filter. Every oil change includes a 54-point BCAA maintenance inspection: lights, brake percentages, battery, wipers, all fluids. We also top up the washer fluid, grease the chassis components and set your tire pressures properly.
Shakes or squeals when you hit the pedal? Brakes were never designed to last forever. They're a wearing item that needs attention. We'll inspect them and get you stopping safely again.
Clunks, rattles and squeaks? Don't just turn up the radio to drown them out. As a vehicle ages it stops handling the way it once did. We inspect the components that connect you to the road and find the actual source.

Ladner Motors is one of three area garages, along with West Van's Dundarave and Steveston's Marine, that still looks like a set from the old trucker movie They Drive By Night. The building has never done anything else.
The doors open on Delta Street in the old town of Ladner. The building is still used for its original purpose to this day.
The garage burns down, and reopens the same year.
Fifty-seven years under a local family, the Oeuvrays. Complete automotive and tractor repair, and the Chevron dealer for many of those years. Their standard of workmanship made the shop a trusted fixture, and a place people dropped by just for a chat.
Another local family, the Cliffords, take over with one goal: protect the reputation Ladner Motors was built on.
The shop becomes a BCAA approved facility, and keeps investing in the latest diagnostic equipment and certified mechanics to do the job right.

I have taken a few vehicles here now. I think they are honest, I think they are good at what they do. I think they fix things that need to be done now, and will wait on the nice to haves if that is what you want.
